"Round Ankor wat", Cambodia - 1000AD
Sacred Circles:
Temple Complexes Across Civilizations
Working with circular form as both structure and symbol, this series reconfigures ancient temples complexes into composite images that exist between documentation and abstraction.
Drawn from sites across multiple civilizations, the collages collapse geography and time into a unified visual field.
The works explore how sacred architecture persists as form, memory, and cultural imprint-long after its original context has faded.
After editing and composing the visual material, the resulting round images are printed on a brushed metal surface.
Handmade drawings by the Artist add another layer on these prints on metal, which are finally coated by hand made “Liquid Gloss” finish.
